A Moscow Mule is one of my favorite drinks by far. It’s simple, refreshing, and served in an adorable copper mug. This drink contains alcohol, but it can be just as good without. When I was pregnant with Ruby, I still enjoyed them just without the alcohol. The ginger helped to ease some of that morning sickness.
So, let’s get to the recipe. First, you need to gather all of your ingredients. Zevia Ginger Ale, lime, vodka, ice, and a copper mug. You don’t really need a copper mug, it’s just the traditional way this drink is served, feel free to serve it in a glass!
Roll your limes to ensure that they’re extra juicy.
Squeeze lime into mug or shaker. Make sure to save a slice for garnish.
Pour in your Zevia ginger ale. We used half of the can, about 6 oz. We’ve been on a Zevia kick since we’ve found that they only sweeten their beverages with stevia, a plant that provides just as much sweetness as sugar. We’re working hard over here on being more sugar free.
Add in about 2 oz. of vodka. Replacing with bourbon or rum are also yummy options.
Lightly shake to stir. You can also just pour all of these ingredients into your cup and stir, no need for the shaker.
Serve in a copper mug and enjoy! This makes one drink, but feel free to double or triple for friends 🙂
